Tillicum Beach
Campground
Water System

The U.S. Forest Service, Waldport Ranger District, within the Siuslaw National Forest retained our staff to construct a drinking water conveyance system including campground hydrants for Tillicum Beach Campground.

Our staff installed over 1,500 linear feet of 1 1/2-inch diameter schedule 40 PVC pipe. The campground drinking water is supplied from the Waldport Water District water main located in U.S. Highway 101. Materials in contact with water had to have National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) certification (NSF 61) for potable water use. In addition, piping, fittings, and conveyance lines installation was consistent with standards of practice as specified by the American Water Works Association (AWWA).

In addition to the conveyance pipe installation, self-closing hydrants were constructed around the campground, as well as being ADA compliant. Other construction activities included a culvert installation and disinfection. The campground is located on the beach.
